Workout Timer Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Workout Timer is made by Studio Bridoux AB. This page explains what the app does with your data. In short: your workouts and settings stay on your phone, and the only things we receive are anonymous usage statistics and crash reports.
Your workouts and settings
- Your workouts and your settings are stored on your phone only. Nothing is stored on any server and there is no account.
- Uninstalling the app deletes them from your phone. Android’s own device backup, if it is on in your phone’s settings, may keep a copy in your Google account, which Google handles; it is never sent to us.
- Your workout data is never sold, never shared and never used for advertising.
Notifications, vibration and flashlight
- The app asks for the permission to show notifications, so the timer can keep running and stay visible when you switch to another app or lock your phone.
- Vibration and the flashlight are only used to signal intervals during a workout, if you turn them on. None of this collects any data.
Advertising
- The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and collect information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent form. You can change your choice at any time from the app’s settings.
- Your workouts are never given to advertisers.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID from your phone’s settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads).
Removing the ads
- Ads can be removed with an in-app purchase. The purchase is handled by the Google Play Store: we never see your payment details.
- The Play Store remembers the purchase, so if you change phone it will be restored with the same Google account. Once ads are removed, the app no longer loads any ad.
Analytics and crash reports
- Firebase Analytics is used to gather basic, anonymous statistics on the main actions in the app. It is not linked to your identity. Read more
- Firebase Crashlytics is used to receive crash reports, to keep the app bug free. Reports contain technical information about the crash and your device, never your workouts. Read more
- In the regions where consent is needed, analytics follow the choice you made in the consent form.
Changes
- If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
