Heartrate Monitor Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Heartrate Monitor is made by Studio Bridoux AB. This page explains what the app does with your data. In short: your heart rate, workouts and profile stay on your phone, and nothing about your health is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
Your heart rate and workouts
- The app reads your heart rate from your Bluetooth sensor (chest strap, watch or armband) only while it is connected.
- Your workouts (heart rate second by second, time in zones, title, notes, recovery) are stored on your phone only. Nothing is stored on any server and there is no account.
- If you uninstall the app or change phone, your workouts are not transferred.
- You can delete any workout from the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes all of them.
- Your heart rate data is never sold, never shared and never used for advertising.
Your profile
- Your max heart rate, resting heart rate, age, sex and weight are stored on your phone only. They are used to work out your heart rate zones and calories, and nothing else.
- These fields are optional, except the max heart rate the zones need.
Bluetooth and nearby devices
- The app asks for the Nearby devices permission to find and connect to your heart rate sensor. It is only used for that.
- The app does not use your location. On Android 11 and older, Android requires the location setting to be on for Bluetooth scanning, but the app never reads your location.
- The names, battery levels and models of the sensors you connected are stored on your phone, so the app can show them again next time.
Sharing a workout
- When you share a workout, the app creates an image on your phone and hands it to the app you choose (for example a messaging app). Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.
Advertising
- The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and collect information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent form. You can change your choice at any time from Settings › Ad privacy choices.
- Your heart rate, workouts and profile are never given to advertisers.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID from your phone’s settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads).
Removing the ads
- Ads can be removed with an in-app purchase. The purchase is handled by the Google Play Store: we never see your payment details.
- The Play Store remembers the purchase, so if you change phone it will be restored with the same Google account. Once ads are removed, the app no longer loads any ad.
Analytics and crash reports
- Firebase Analytics is used to gather basic, anonymous statistics on how the app is used (for example which screens are opened). It never receives your heart rate, workouts or profile values. Read more
- Firebase Crashlytics is used to receive crash reports, to keep the app bug free. Reports contain technical information about the crash and your device, never your health data. Read more
- In the regions where consent is needed, analytics follow the choice you made in the consent form.
Children
- The app is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
- If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
